Since 2018, Spelthorne has been running a photographic competition to find the best photographs of the borough. The only criteria for entry was that the photograph had to be taken in Spelthorne and fall within four categories.

 

The judges were looking for images that encapsulated and brought to life:

 

Community,

Events,

Places and

Landmarks.

 

The competition was open to all ages and judged in separate categories. All that was needed was enthusiasm, a camera or a smartphone. It was a fantastic way for residents to practice their skills and to showcase the borough’s urban and green landscapes, and to get out and explore those hidden corners that make Spelthorne such a great place to live.

As always there was an overwhelming response and many captivating photographs. The chosen overall winner was Monica Chard for her winning entry in the My Spelthorne category - well done Monica and to all those who entered.
