In her words “Every monarch has their portrait painted, usually in a formal setting with all the usual accompanying regalia. I wanted to reflect the King in a less formal, more relaxed way, referencing the man behind the crown…his lifelong passion for gardening and nature and his work to care for the environment.”

Creative Prompt
What is your favourite season?
Do you prefer the colours, sounds and smells of Autumn or Spring, Summer or Winter?
Pick a season and consider nature at that time of year. Poetry can be about a single flower or tree, a raindrop or rainbow. Focus on one aspect of nature and write a poem about it, remembering to include sounds, such as crunchy autumn leaves or smells, such as wet warm concrete.
You may want to include some onomatopoeia or alliteration but try to use words that have meaning for you rather than descriptions we use all the time.
Close your eyes and ask someone to read your poem out loud to see if creates an image in your mind.
